Reader, West Virginia native and now Nashville, TN resident Matt Poling has been a musician for practically his whole life. He started taking piano lessons at the age of four through the age of sixteen before teaching himself how to play guitar, which later lead to writing songs. During college he needed a way to get his songs out so he decided to start singing out in local bars and songwriting rounds. In late July 2014, Poling teamed up with Dan Frizsell, owner of Legend’s studio in Nashville to work on a four song EP titled “Shine.” It was released in October of 2014. Since then, he has been playing songwriters rounds in Nashville as well as shows on the road to promote his new music. Matt’s career has continued to grow and he has had the chance to open shows for Chris Janson, David Nail, Cody Johnson, Steel Magnolia, Chase Bryant, Parmalee, Confederate Railroad and the Davisson Brothers.
